After escaping her abusive household, Judith Rice sets up a new life deep in the forests of southern Georgia, finding shelter in a house whose history is as violent as her own. Jude embraces the eccentricities of the dilapidated cottage, soothing it’s ghosts and saints, and together they begin to blossom. 

But just when Jude believes she’s settled into a quiet life, an enigmatic woman shows up on her doorstep, disrupting her peace.  The woman is beautiful but unsettling, captivating but uncanny. Jude finds herself drawn to this woman but is caught off guard by ferocious urges suddenly simmering beneath her skin.
