Seasonal Online Book Club

Join Merlin's online book club! A seasonal book club that combines reading and journaling for those who want to take their time with their book club read and explore their creative side while they're at it. 

With the choice of either a fantasy or horror, each book is picked by us from a selection of recently released paperbacks. Every new subscription comes with an exclusive welcome pack that includes stickers and a scrapbook to get you started. 

What does seasonal mean? 

Our book club is seasonal, meaning we only read one book each season. Not only that, but each book comes with a collection of themed printed goods such as stickers and prints, all created by us! Each season they match the theme of the book, meaning you'll be able to use them in your scrapbook to document your thoughts as you read. 

We go by the seasons of the year, meaning you can sign up to the book club for that season up until 28 days before the new one is due to start (Dates below). 

Please note, the book club subscription is billed quarterly on the dates below - this is NOT a monthly subscription fee.

Is there a community? 

Yes! We wanted to create an online community for our book club members giving you a place to be creative, share your thoughts and chat about the books, so we created a Discord channel just for that. When your welcome pack is sent out to you, you'll get an email with an invitation link from us. 

Each season, we'll schedule a book club video call for everyone to join and chat about the book and their journalling. 

What are the dates? 

We've set the start dates for each seasonal book club as below, you will be able to subscribe to our book club up until 28 days before those dates. If you subscribe after the cut off date, you'll join the next seasons book club. If you subscribe before the cut off date, you will be billed for that seasons book club and sent the pack. Recurring payments will happen on the below dates. 

The book club pack will be shipped out shortly after the below dates, with the exclusion of the Autumn 2026 book club, as we want to give people time to sign up and get to know each other before sending out the first batch of books! For the Autumn 2026 books, these will be shipped out between the 25th and 28th of September. 

Spring: 1st of March

Summer: 1st of June

Autumn: 1st of September

Winter: 1st of December

You will be able to pause, cancel and change the genre of your subscription via the customer portal. 

Each season is £35 excluding delivery, billed once a quarter.
